ETERNAL SECURITY?
By Greg Hooker
1) Salvation is eternal. Is it possible, then, to end it?
2) Salvation is a new-birth. Is it possible to become ‘un-born’?
3) Salvation is a process in which a believe is placed into Christ who sits in Heavenly places, who is ‘in’ God. Can anything snatch us out of the Lord?
4) Salvation is a process whereby we are ‘sealed’ unto the day of redemption. Can that seal, which is the Holy Spirit, be broken?
5) Salvation is a betrothal to the Lord Jesus
Christ. Can that engagement be broken off? During the time of Jesus, a betrothal was as binding as the marriage itself.
6) Salvation is a process where we are made alive in Christ through regeneration. Can we become dead again?
7) Salvation is a process whereby we receive the ‘righteousness’ of Christ. Can that be revoked?
8) Salvation is a process of the power of God. Does God expect us to keep our salvation through our insignificant power?
9) Salvation gives us an inheritance in the Father’s house. Is God an ‘Indian giver’ to take it away?
10) Salvation is entirely through the grace, mercy and merits of Jesus Christ. How can we possibly add anything to that? Our very best is “as filthy rags” before a Holy God.
