HIS PURPOSE
By Greg Hooker
“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.” (Romans 8:28)
I love the above passage written by Paul the Apostle. The fact that “all things” work for the good of Gods children to fulfill the purpose of His will, is one of the greatest truths in the Bible. We may be experiencing ‘pie in the sky’, or suffering the ‘lowest of lows’, but one thing is for certain to those who love Him, God is working His perfect will through us. We may not understand it, but in and through the things happening in our lives, God is there. Sometimes behind the scenes, but nevertheless He is present.
Regardless of what we may be going through, the Lord is leading, guiding, and directing circumstances to achieve greatness in our earthly existence and to ultimately glorify His Son, Jesus Christ.
In fact, it’s at our lowest that the Lord seems to work through us the most. Through sickness and trials He does His most excellent work. Through our poverty and need He delivers His greatest miracles. Through heaviness of heart and soul God brings out the best in us, that the world may see His greatest miracles burst forth as a blooming rose filled with beauty and sweet aroma.
Thank you, Lord, that “... all things work together for good to them that love God”
